What do you think will happen when we tax their employers? Increases of cost of production means more expensive products and more unemployed people.
7% of the country cant afford healthcare, 9.4% are unemployed.
Think of who you are trying to help… if you are actually trying to help anyone, not just spreading propaganda.

Insurance companies don’t make billions.
The government mandates DIRECTLY take 20-50% of your insurance payments.
In 2008, health insurance companies spent out 80% of what they brought in on claims.

The under-insured are not paying for it, its usually HMO insurance through their employer.
HMO was becoming unpopular in the early 70s because it’s purpose is to limit healthcare to reduce costs.
Ted Kennedy wrote up the Health Maintenance organization act of 1973 to force companies with more than 25 workers to get HMO insurance.
Blame the gov’t for that one.

jimhilborn – since you are so against “socialized medicine”… you surely must also be currently protesting against “socialized firefighters”, “socialized public schools”, “socialized infrastructure”, “socialized 911 services”, “socialized police services”, the Veterans Healthcare Administration, and Medicare, correct? You must want to give up all of those things and have them go “free market”/for-profit, correct?

We need a system based on free market principles to avoid an expensive bureaucratic system. People should be allowed to set aside a tax free healthcare portfolio to pay for their care. For those who could not afford it the government can subsidize them and the cost will still be much lower than socialized medicine. Privatization leads to a decrease in demand for healthcare. People wont spend their money unless they have to. It increases the national savings rate and encourages capitalization

Fine you pay the bill i refuse to pay for someone who is not willing to work for it. for someone who sits on his ass and just drink, smokes, and does drugs get free health care.This bill will distroy America but you don;t care because your selfish. One more thing im not on any party sides im bypartison and the bill is wrong.

PUBLIC HEALTH CARE PLAN:
ALL Americans are now paying in HIDDEN TAXES the cost for medical care for the “UNINSURED” who must use the Emergency Room.
With President Obama’s Health Plan ALL AMERICANS will be covered. These HIDDEN TAXES will disappear.
WHY is a … “PUBLIC GOVERNMENT PLAN” … good enough for all REPUBLICAN SENATORS in Congress … but NOT good enough for ALL AMERICANS who choose this option over a Private Plan??

The Insurance Co. DECIDES which treatment they’ll authorize & pay for, or which claim they’ll deny & cancel the policy.
PUBLIC:
Your DOCTOR is the one WHO DECIDES which treatment YOU require.
NO profit involved.
NO more red tape.
NO begging for Insurance Co. approval.
NO more CEO’s HUGE SALARIES & BONUSES filling their pockets.
PUBLIC OPTION: Better Health Care & Lower Premiums.

I hope the politicians take note – I am a young voter and having finally woken up to what is going on, I will hold the people in the top accountable for what they do about healthcare. If they don’t make it happen for me and my generation, they shouldn’t expect my support in the polls. The new generation is not stupid and words like “socialist” don’t scare us anymore. We can think for ourselves. We watch, we judge and we vote accordingly.

I was refused emergency room care @ the County in Jackson Tn in 2003 after workmans comp gave me steriods for HBV and never told me the emergency room nurse told me the state was bankrupted by illegals and walmart I went home looking for a healer online and found a natural cure I am Still HERE in 2009 ! HR676 Now! As Obama Promised !call 2024561414 evryday several xs a day !

Mexico has better healthcare! 3rd world counrty. its set up like the federal and state income tax if you work you have health insurance, that easy! and they take care of ya even dont work. but not here you have to wait a year or two to get it at work and they still deny you if you dont have a good policy. oh sorry, you only have silver covarage that means you have to live with your cancer?!?!?! health is not a service its a right!

Tom Daschle snuck in a disastrous intrusive healthcare bill into the stimulus package so as they’re won’t be any debate for it. Daschle said that the more you debate this horrible bill the less likely it will pass, it’s that bad. It is designed to slow progress & have the gov take over health care in a more expensive way. It’s political coercion. And I’m a democrat & I say don’t pass the stimulus bill with this evil health care plan slipped in.
